2013 Holiday Home Tour
|December 13, 2013||Filled under Christmas, Decorating, Life|
Happy Holidays! I thought I would post a few pictures of my Christmas decor….mainly so I can look back at it next year to remember where I put things (haha), but also to share with all of you!
You can find my 2012 home tour HERE!
So, as much as I love looking at other blogger’s homes, and looking at Pinterest…most of all that is just not realistic for me. I may buy a couple of new things each year, but for the most part, I use items I’ve had for years and years!
Let’s get started!
First up is our tree. We have always gotten a real tree – I love it!! This is a Fraser Fir and it smells amazing!
We obviously don’t do a “themed” tree, but more of a hodge podge. There are ornaments on there from when I was a kid, alongside newer ones. My parents gave us an ornament every year, and we have continued that tradition with our own kids.
The next few pictures are of what I put on my piano. Do you think I took a picture of the whole piano? Nope. Sorry!
I showed HERE how I made those glass urns, that I then filled with extra Christmas bulbs!
I made these simple boxwood wreaths last year. I still like them OK, but at some point I will probably add some more garland to them to bulk them up a bit! I love how they look in the daytime…
And, at night!
Here is the ledge in front of my kitchen sink. I’ve had those luminaries from Target for probably 10 years!
Even the TV stand needs a little garland!
Here is my mantle:
I made these stockings for my boys when they were babies. Took MONTHS, but it was worth it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a blessed holiday!
