My Sister’s Wedding
|June 12, 2013||Filled under Life|
My sister got married last Friday! It.Was.Awesome.
After that special day, the time really seemed to fly and before we knew it, the big day was here!
I thought I’d share some pictures from the day. They barely scratch the surface of how amazing the day was, but you can get a peek into the day at least!
Here is the bride! Hello!? Can you say gorgeous??
My boys were ushers, along with my husband.
The wedding party rode around in this trolley for pictures, and also to and from the wedding location.
Here is my other sister and me!
We took pictures in several locations, including a boat dock along the St. Croix River.
The bouquets and reception flowers were AMAZING!!
The ceremony was held outside, and was perfect. There were very few dry eyes!

The bride and groom!
Both of them really love the outdoors, so the reception had a bit of a rustic theme to it.
And the food? Wow. I couldn’t eat it all, but I wished I could have because it was SO good!
The salad had fresh berries, brie, onion, candied pecans and a strawberry vinaigrette. Yum!
The two main choices were walleye and chicken. I didn’t get a picture of the walleye, but both my oldest son and husband got it and loved it!
The chicken was stuffed with goat cheese and asparagus. The wild rice? Holy cow. It had slivered almonds and craisins in it.
Instead of doing a big wedding cake, they had a bunch of different mini desserts at each table. The problem was choosing which ones to try! I tried the “Sin of the Inn”. And it was sinful and totally worth it. :)
After a few emotional speeches, my sister and my new brother took the floor for their first dance.
After some dancing (you should have seen my youngest OWN the dance floor during “Gangnam Style”!), we lit up the darkness with glow sticks and off they went to start their honeymoon!
I can’t wait to see their pictures and video. They had a photographer and videographer there pretty much all day capturing it all.
Do you enjoy weddings? Have you been to any lately?
