I hope you had a marvelous Easter weekend! Ours was busy!
Kaden had a friend sleepover on Friday night, and then on Saturday we colored our Easter eggs.
This year, I took a tip from Pinterest and hard “boiled” them in the oven. It worked like a charm! I will never boil them again…probably. :)
I just put them in muffin tins in case they cracked, and baked them at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
Then, they went straight into cold water. I covered them with ice and left them in the fridge overnight.
Some of them did get a couple of tiny brown spots on them, so I wouldn’t use this method if I was doing deviled eggs, but for egg salad, etc, it was no big deal!
Yes, even 10 & 11 year boys (sorta) still like decorating eggs! :)
Devin only did half of his until he was bored, so I got to finish them up!
Some of our finished creations…
On Sunday we went to church and then over to my MIL’s for Reubens and Rachels. It was a nice change of pace from a big Easter buffet. Also, I love a good breakfast buffet, lol.
I may or may not have ended the day with one of these cupcakes…
How was your weekend? Do you usually do Easter brunch out somewhere or have a meal at home?
