DIY Boxwood Wreaths

I am so excited to share these simple, DIY Boxwood Wreaths with you today! I was inspired by all the gorgeous Boxwood Wreaths over on Pinterest but whoa nelly they are EXPENSIVE!!
Since I don’t have my own real Boxwood shrub to make a wreath out of and didn’t want to pay for a preserved one, I went the next best route – faux Boxwood!
I love how they turned out and it took me less than a half an hour to make 3 small and 1 large wreath.
I found the Boxwood garland on Etsy, and it was just $3.50 per 15′ garland. I bought 3, not knowing how much I would need.
It came already coiled up, which was great because it made it even easier to make a wreath shape with it and I didn’t have to get a wreath form at all.
First I figured out about how big I wanted the wreaths and then it was as simple as forming them!
I wrapped one end around the loops to secure it, and then snipped an inch or so from another strand and wrapped it around the loops on the exact opposite side to keep everything nice and tidy.
I made a large loop with some neutral ribbon I got from World Market, and voila! Finished!
Isn’t it pretty? I knew I wanted 3 to go across my hutch, so I made 2 more the same size.
Even looks pretty with the lights off!
What do you think? Have you ever made a wreath?
