I never thought in a million years I would be posting about kale chips. The day I made these, I thought for sure my entire family would go running in the other direction! Imagine my surprise when they gobbled these up and asked for more? I about fell off my chair! They were really easy too!
I have actually never bought kale, but my MIL gave me some and I knew as soon as I got it that I wanted to make these crispy chips.
All you need is a head of kale, washed and then dried well…olive oil..and sea salt. That’s it!
Preheat the oven to 275 degrees. Cut the ribs from the kale and cut leaves into 1-2 inch pieces (mine were too large). Lay on a baking sheet and toss with olive oil and sea salt. Bake until crisp, turning the leaves over halfway through baking time. Serve as is or with a yummy veggie dip!
On a side note, after seeing the pictures of my baking sheet, I will be taking my Scour Off to it ASAP! Ha!
Have you ever made kale chips? Do you eat them plain or dip them in something?
