I’m on a boat!

Hope you all had a nice Memorial Weekend! How did you celebrate? Did you go to a parade? Visit and thank a vet? BBQ with friends or family?
I had a nice, relaxing weekend..spending most of it with my parents. Friday night we spent sleeping on a boat! It was so much fun! The weather didn’t really cooperate, but that was OK! Less traffic on the river!
I took some pictures of the boat to show my boys, so thought I would share them with you as well!
Here’s the boat!
“Knot” Dreaming…get it? :)
It even had a grill you can attach to the back! Here was my dad demonstrating what that would look like – lol!
Down below is pretty spacious! This is where my parents slept.
Kitchen – complete with microwave, coffeemaker and fridge
This bench folds out to a bed as well. I totally forgot to take a picture of where I slept, but behind where I was standing was a “mini” bedroom, with reading lights and curtain for privacy. My boys would love to sleep there!
Bathroom/shower – plenty of room to move around!
Bathroom sink (faucet turns into the shower head)
Here was my mom helping to put the large curtains on the boat. Since there was rain coming, we wanted to get them on before we got on our way. We were glad to have them on, that’s for sure!
This was at the back of the boat. The table can come out and then there is a cushion that you can put in to fill the gap for even more sleeping room!
Another sink and fridge at the back of the boat.
Here was the Captain of the trip (AKA my Dad)!
The water was already looking a little high as we left, and was expected to rise another 6 FEET in the next 2 days!
This was a lift bridge we had to go under, so we were waiting for the bridge operator to lift it up.
Now it’s safe to go under!
Some big charter boats!
This was another bridge we couldn’t fit under, so we had to have them open it. It swings open though, which it neat.
Here we are parked for the night! We walked into town and went to a really yummy German restaurant. I can’t wait to bring Mike there – he loves German food!
The Captain and First Mate (AKA my Mom).
I was expecting the boat to move quite a bit while we slept, but I didn’t feel a thing! The next morning we went and grabbed breakfast with AWESOME hash browns. Then we just took it easy on the boat since the rain was pouring. I actually took a nap of all things! I never get a chance to do that!
Have you ever slept on a boat – big or small?
