I realized I never introduced my family to all of you – shame on me! Better late than never I always say!
This is my husband, Mike. We are high school sweethearts! We got married in 1998, but have actually been together since 1991. We met in the high school orchestra. I played viola and Mike played cello. He is a year older than me, so he went to a local community college after graduation, and then when I graduated he decided to go to the same college as me. Then, he changed his major several times (whereas I never did), so I actually ended up graduating from college before him – kinda funny!
He is an Eagle Scout, loves the Boundary Waters like I do, and currently works as a Financial Analyst. He is the easy going one and I am much more rigid, so we balance each other out pretty well!
This is Devin, who is 10 1/2. He is in the 5th grade and will be starting middle school next fall. I can’t believe it!! He is SO much like me! He is a competitive gymnast and has been doing gymnastics since he was about 3. This picture was taken at the University of Minnesota gymnastics camp last summer, and that is Mike Burns who is head coach of the Gopher Men’s Gymnastics Team. Devin loves computer games, is a super great reader, and is an all-around wonderful kid!
This is Kaden, who just turned 9. I did a post in honor of his birthday here. He is in the 3rd grade. Kaden plays Little League, and loves doing anything outside! He is the kid who is always dirty and sweaty from running around! He has a great sense of humor, loves to makes people laugh, and is totally spontaneous. He is a lot like my husband. It’s funny how kids can take after one particular parent. We sure see it with our boys!
Last, but not least, this is Hudson. We adopted him about 5 years ago. He is an 80-pound lug! I affectionately call him a “big baby”. He LOVES Mike. He gets really jealous and barks whenever we are hugging. It’s cute and slightly annoying at the same time – lol! Whenever we come home, he has to greet us with something in his mouth- usually someone’s shoe. He really is a nice dog, and loves to run around and play.
So, that’s my family! We are pretty normal – well, except when we are tired of taking pictures!
